B-25 Bomber Crash Site from 1943

On the east face of Sharp Top mountain in Bedford County, VA, there is a crash site from 1943. Apparently, a B-25 bomber on a training mission crashed into the mountain late one night. Much of the wreckage is still intact, most probably because getting to the site is no small feat. No trail markers show you the way and it's rough terrain. The best time to visit is in the winter; I couldn't imagine trying to find this place in the spring or summer. Along on the trip were Frank Jack, Tom Patch, Scott Dwyer, Warren Kuntz and Jim Juritsch.
